Singapore Feast (Vol. 2)

For the second volume of Singapore Feast there is a special theme for this edition, which is "Coffee Is Always A Good Idea". The posts in this edition are cafes that have coffee in their menu and maybe most of them are the most well known coffee shop in town. Singapore is really famous for their contemporary styled coffee cafes, as we can see from Instagram with #sgcafe and #sgcoffee, there are a lot of coffee artist here.

Strangers' Reunion

The Strangers' Reunion is one of them. Strangers' Reunion is one of the most popular indie cafe in Singapore, which is really well known for the great waffle. I already did the review for the waffle in the first volume of the Singapore Feast. The coffee here is really nice too, my most recommended would be the mocha. Another thing that I ordered is the latte, it was quiet nice but it is not the best. I tried the eggs benedict with smoked salmon as well and for me it tasted really good especially the hollandaise sauce. The opening hour for this cafe is 11am to 10pm everyday except for Wednesday.

CRAFT Bakery & Cafe

CRAFT Bakery & Cafe is located in the Holland Village. I ordered this 3 Inch Molten Cake, which is the most popular dish in this cafe that is available hazelnut, peanut butter, mint, caramelized banana and baileys. This is the caramelized banana and it tastes really good, I definitely recommended this to you all dessert lovers. Of course, for this edition I won't forget about the coffees. As usual I ordered mocha and latte, however both of them are okay. The opening hour is from 9am to 11pm.

Penny University

It is a vintage looking cafe that is really cozy and comfortable. Maybe that is why Penny University is often really crowded. The price is also affordable in spite of the great coffee taste. My favorite was the affogato. The opening hour on Tuesday to Thursday is 8.30am to 6pm, 8.30 to 12am on Friday to Saturday, 8.30am to 10.30pm on Sunday, and closed on Monday.

Toby's Estate

Toby's Estate has the most well known coffee house since it is Australia's coffee chain cafe that is located in Robertson Quay, Singapore. The coffee is the reason for me to come back to this cafe, although the food is quiet nice but it would not be the reason to come back. The price is reasonable for this kind of cafe, the price is below $20 for each menu. This place is a nice place to have a brunch with friends and just socialize with a river as your view if you take the outdoor space. The opening hour is 7.30am to 6pm.

Oblong serves this various flavor of waffle with variety of feeling in the middle of the waffle. I ordered three stacks of ice cream flavor, which is green tea, cookies and cream, and chocolate on top of two stacks of red velvet waffle with cream cheese feeling. The waffles are really good, available in many flavor such as chocolate and green tea, but red velvet is just the best. This place is very crowded during the weekend, however the space is not that big. This ice cream shop opening hour is from 12pm to 10pm in Monday to Friday and Sunday, 10.30am to 10pm on Saturday.

Lola's Cafe

Lola's Cafe located not that close to the city but it is worth it to visit. The atmosphere of the cafe is vintage and hip styled that attracts a lot of hippie cafe enthusiast. I ordered a sea salt chocolate tart with coffee cream, cream brulee, honey paprika crispy wings, and a latte. All the food is really delicious and I definitely come back for them especially the the tart. The opening hour is from 10am to 11.30 pm everyday.
